"Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me."

From 'Wax' to wonder

SOY works exclusively with a rare hand-printing craft called batik. In this technique, the karigar uses a wooden block of the chosen design to apply hot wax onto the fabric that will eventually become your suit. Wherever the wax sits, the dye cannot penetrate—leaving that area white. The remaining fabric is then dipped in color, say black. Once the dyeing is complete, the wax is carefully removed, revealing a striking black-and-white pattern that looks effortlessly elegant.
